Jon C. Wiebe, President & CEO

Jon earned a B.A. degree from Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kansas and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver, Denver, Colorado. He was a youth pastor for four years at Belleview Acres Mennonite Brethren Church before joining Andersen Consulting as a Staff Consultant and then Norwest Bank as a Financial Analyst. Jon has served in a number of positions within the local church and, while in Denver, was on the Board of More For Less, a local self-help retail store. His involvement included several years as Chair. He is currently a member of the Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church. Jon started with MB Foundation as a Vice President in 1996 and was promoted to President on January 1, 1998, where he continues to serve. Jon is married to Ellynne and they have two boys, Matthew (15) and Joshua (13). In his spare time, he enjoys wrestling with his boys & cattle ranching. His favorite snack is nachos.

Joel D. Soo Hoo, Vice President and Treasurer

Joel received a B.A. in Business Administration from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas, in 1999. After graduation, he worked at Midland National Bank in the operations department and as a Staff Accountant for Claassen Financial Services prior to joining the staff of MB Foundation and MBLF as a Staff Accountant in March of 2001. Joel was promoted to Treasurer of both organizations in August of 2003. He is a member of the Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church where he serves as Treasurer, on the Board of Trustees and as a high school youth sponsor. He has also served on Parkview’s Audit Committee. He is married to the beautiful Lori. Joel enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and sports. He also had an opportunity this last spring to be the distance coach for the Tabor track team and loved every minute of the experience.

Jack Braun, Planned Giving Advisor

Jack is one of the Midwest Planned Giving Advisors. He came to the Foundation with a deep understanding and awareness of what it means to serve the church and the many related constituencies, due to his 36 years of service at Tabor College in both teaching and administration. He holds the B.A, M.A. and PhD degrees having attended McMaster University Teacher’s College, Tabor College, Kansas University, Kansas State University, Brigham Young University and Colorado University. Jack and his wife Laverna have three children and six grandchildren. They are members of Hillsboro M.B. Church where both serve as deacons. Jack also teaches Sunday School, chairs the Stewardship Committee and is a member of the Church Council. Jack’s many years of serving Christ in people-related ministries are an asset to the Foundation’s mission of encouraging and assisting individuals in faithful stewardship. Whenever possible, Jack is traveling, spending time with his grandchildren and eating out. He would love to travel around the world as a food and travel critic.

Andy Shewey , Planned Giving Advisor

Andy began his work with the MB Foundation as a Planned Giving Advisor in the Midwest in May 2008 after fifteen years as a Financial Advisor with Ameriprise Financial Services. Prior to his career in financial planning, he worked for five years as an Admissions Counselor at Tabor College. Andy earned BA degrees from Tabor College in Business Administration/Economics and in Contemporary Church Ministries – Human Services. He has served in a variety of roles in the local church, with Tabor College, and in the Hillsboro community. Andy is currently an Elder and a high school youth sponsor at Parkview MB Church. He is also the high jump coach for the Tabor College track team. Andy is married to Kerry. They enjoy working together in service projects and have two boys, Clay and Grant. Andy’s other interests include following his boys’ activities, going to major college football/basketball games with his boys and friends, golfing, chocolate ice cream, and a good quote.

Shawna Vogt, Bookkeeper

Shawna earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kansas. After graduation, she joined MB Foundation in October of 1992. She is a member of the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. Shawna is married to her “high school sweetheart, Todd Vogt”. They have three children, Taylor, Braden and Lauryn. She enjoys watching their kids' activities, gardening, antiquing and helping Todd at the family grocery store – Vogt’s Hometown Market. Shawna and Todd like to entertain and try out new restaurants.

Kimberly Voth, Staff Accountant

Kimberly joined MB Foundation in May of 2006 following her graduation from Olivet Nazarene University, in Bourbonnais, Illinois, with a B.S. degree in Accounting. She currently lives in the Goessel, Kansas area with her family. Her favorite things to do are playing with her numerous cats and reading. Kimberly enjoys attending community events and worshiping in her community at the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church. She also likes to try out her cooking skills for her family and friends.

Kim Kroeker, Bookkeeper

After graduating from Tabor College, Kim and her husband, Dave, spent two years in Christian Service in Washington. Kim worked as an Operations Officer in a bank. With their move to Kansas, Kim stayed home to raise their four children: Angela, who is married to Andrew Jost, Shannon, Kyle and Cassie. Kim joined MB Foundation as a bookkeeper in 1998. Kim is a member of Parkview MB Church where she serves on the Coordinating Council, teaches Sunday School and is on the Worship Team. Kim enjoys baking, attending the school and sporting events of her children, and giving lots of attention to her first grandchild, Addison.

Bruce Jost, Project Manager

Bruce is a 1997 graduate of Tabor College, Hillsboro, KS with a BA in Business Administration. After graduation Bruce worked several jobs in the Wichita area before returning to work for Tabor College in the fall of 1999. He began work at MB Foundation in December 2006 after working as the Director of Student Financial Assistance at Tabor College since February of 2000. Bruce has been married to Kimberlee since December 2000 and they have two daughters, Ella and Talia. Bruce and his family currently attend Ebenfeld MB Church.
